Terms of Engagement
The standard terms that apply to every Zovrel engagement, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
1. Scope
Each stage of an engagement is described in a written scope, agreed and signed before work begins. Work outside the scope is quoted separately and only starts once it is agreed in writing.
2. Fixed prices
Each stage is priced in advance. The price changes only if the written scope changes, and any change is agreed in writing first.
3. Payment
Invoices are issued at the milestones set out in the scope and are payable within the period stated on the invoice.
4. Ownership
On full payment, the client owns the source code, trained models, data pipelines and documentation produced for the engagement. Pre-existing tools we bring are licensed to the client for use with the delivered system.
5. Confidentiality
We treat client data and business information as confidential, use it only for the engagement, and return or delete it at the end, as agreed.
6. Support after launch
Support is provided on the terms set out in the scope, including response times and the engineer responsible.
7. Ending an engagement
Either party may end an engagement at the end of any stage. Work completed and paid for up to that point belongs to the client.
8. Governing law
The governing law and venue are set out in each signed agreement.
